I've always enjoyed photography, and I especially enjoy capturing the essence of someone on film. A good headshot tells a story about who you are. It invites the viewer in and lets us imagine who you will be. I take headshots in a variety of categories: Acting shots, Professional photos (which work well for LinkedIn and other platforms), Author Photos, and other Artist shots. My expertise comes from years of working in the theatre (my first professional work was in casting) and seeing how a photo that captures the version of you that you want the world to see can do wonders for you.
How does it work? We'll start with a consultation to discuss what you're looking for in these photos and where and when we can take them. This is a side project for me, and I do not currently have a studio. Champaign-Urbana is full of beautiful places to use as a background, both interior and exterior. Sessions generally run around an hour and can include up to three outfit changes.
Cost? I'm still building up my portfolio, but I also want to let people get photos for a reasonable cost. Currently, the base is $75, and $50 for students.
